   Who are we

"Friends of Congo" is a non lucrative association created in May 2005. Installed in Belgium, it has the role to organize of the material and financial aid in favor of NGO and local non lucrative associations in CONGO, essentially centered on rural development.

The Friends of Congo want to thus equip the small family organizations and co-operatives in rural environments with means of restarting agriculture in all its aspects: food and commercial agriculture on the one hand, fishing and the breeding in the other hand. Given that all these efforts cannot be articulated without infrastructures, "Friends of Congo" proceed by a sensitizing of the local partners to incite the populations in rural environments to organize the basic infrastructures, precisely the roads and small paths for which a collective Community effort would solve some problems. In addition, the association considers to bring a support to the health stations - commonly called dispensaries - in lack of inputs and qualified workers.

With these various concerns, the Friends of Congo organize campaigns and conferences in order to mobilize funds and to program basic trainings for the recipients of these various projects.
